The Problem

Losing weight feels impossible, no matter how hard you try. You're constantly thinking about food, battling cravings, and watching the number on the scale refuse to budge. Here's the truth: Over 100 million Americans struggle with their weight, and it's not because you lack willpower. Your body is working against you, making it incredibly difficult to lose weight and keep it off.

The Cause

Weight gain isn't just about eating too much or moving too little. Your body has complex systems that control hunger, metabolism, and fat storage. For many people, conditions like PCOS, thyroid issues, genetics, hormones, or insulin resistance create a perfect storm that makes losing weight nearly impossible. Add in "food noise"—those constant thoughts about eating—and your brain is literally programmed to keep the weight on. It's biology, not failure.

The Solution

The answer isn’t another diet or exercise plan—it’s using proven medical treatments that work with your body’s biology, not against it. GLP-1 medications are FDA-approved tools that quiet "food noise," reduce hunger, and help your body process insulin correctly.

  • 1:1 Accountability Coaching

Frequently Asked Questions

If the quiz shows you are eligible for the Vivoro program, here is what happens next:

  • Choose your visit type: You will choose to schedule a video visit with a provider or, if your state allows it, a visit without video (using an online form).
  • Sign up: You will select your monthly subscription plan and pay.
  • Create Account: You will create a password. Your email address will be your username.
  • Health History: After creating your password, click "Next" to fill out your health history form. This is very important! If you miss this step, we will email you a reminder. You can also log in at Vivoro Patient Portal to finish it.

During your first appointment, your provider will review your history, order lab tests if needed, and discuss your health goals. Together, you will create a plan that may include a prescription for weight loss medication if it is right for you.

Not everyone will qualify for a prescription. To be considered, you must be between 18 and 74 years old. Generally, you may qualify if:

  • Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 27 or higher.
  • Your BMI is between 25 and 27, and you have a weight-related health condition (like high blood pressure).
  • You are looking for maintenance therapy (continuing care), have a BMI of at least 22, and have used GLP-1 medications in the last 12 months.
Note: Some medical conditions, such as a history of thyroid cancer or being pregnant/breastfeeding, may disqualify you from the program for your safety.

You must be at least 18 years old. Currently, the program accepts new patients up to age 74. If you are between 65 and 74, you can likely still use our convenient online forms, though a video chat may be requested if you have specific health conditions like diabetes or heart issues.

Most patients can start their medication immediately and complete their lab work within the first 3 months of the program. You do not need to wait for lab results to get your first prescription unless:

  • Your BMI is between 25 and 27 and you do not yet have a diagnosed weight-related condition.
  • Your provider sees a specific safety reason in your health history to check labs first.

This allows you to begin your weight loss journey right away while ensuring your long-term safety.

Our providers may prescribe GLP-1 medications, which can help control appetite and support weight loss. Depending on your state and medical needs, options may include:

  • Injectable medications: Semaglutide or Tirzepatide (shots taken once a week).
  • Oral medications: Dissolving tablets taken daily (available in some states).

Your provider will help you choose the best option based on your health history and budget.

Like all medications, GLP-1s can cause side effects. The most common ones are nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, and fatigue. Your provider may prescribe an anti-nausea medication (like Zofran) to help you manage these symptoms if they occur.

Vivoro offers subscription plans that cover your virtual visits, coaching, and support. There are no hidden membership fees. You can view our current plans at Vivoro Pricing.

  • Subscription: This charge will appear on your credit card as "OPNLP VIVORO."
  • Medication: The cost depends on your insurance. Brand-name drugs are often covered by insurance, while other options might be paid out-of-pocket. Your care team will help you find the most affordable option.

We do not accept insurance for the program subscription or visits.

You will see licensed healthcare professionals, such as physicians or nurse practitioners. They are experts in weight management and are licensed to prescribe medications and order lab tests in your state.

Yes! We offer maintenance therapy to help you keep the weight off. To qualify, you generally need to:

  • Have a BMI of at least 22.
  • Have a previous history of overweight or obesity.
  • Have taken a GLP-1 medication within the past 12 months.

If you reach your goal and your BMI drops below 22, we will pause the medication for your safety or recommend a microdose, but we won't abandon you. We will continue to monitor your progress, and if your weight begins to return, we can restart your treatment plan immediately.

It is normal for weight loss to slow down or "plateau" after a while. If you stop losing weight, your provider may adjust your dose. If your weight loss slows down significantly (less than 0.75% of your body weight per week) while you are near a healthy weight, your provider might lower your dose to a maintenance level.
